The Charlottetown Food Council is holding a series of Community Conversations to engage residents on their opinions relating to the local food system and to get their feedback on the City's newly created Food Asset Map.  This asset map was generated by the Food Council to identify the existing food-related strengths and resources in the community. The intent of this map is to help the Council and other organizations better understand the City's existing food system and identify opportunities for improvement.

These Community Conversations are an opportunity for Charlottetown residents to learn about the existing asset map and expand upon it by adding food assets in their area that the Food Council might not be aware of. These conversations are also a chance to build community and create new connections as well as for residents to share their views with the Food Council on how the local food system can be celebrated and improved.

All members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend one of these Community Conversations. Everyone is an expert on where they live and has something to contribute. If you live and eat in Charlottetown then you are a part of the local food system!

Register below for one of the following sessions - prizes, giveaways, and refreshments provided:
  • Saturday, March 21st 10:30 to 12:00 p.m. - Hillsborough Park Community Centre
  • Wednesday, March 25th 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. - West Royalty Community Centre (Upton Room)
  • Wednesday, April 1st 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. - Charlottetown Fire Hall, Station 1 (Kent Street, 3rd Floor)

In addition to these Community Conversations, pop-up events will be held in public locations across the City throughout March to engage those individuals who are unable to attend the scheduled events and would like to provide feedback.
