The Charlottetown Fire Department is dedicated to protecting lives and minimizing property and environmental damage through effective fire protection, prevention, investigation, rescue and hazardous material response. The department operates under several City bylaws issued under the Provincial Municipal Governance and Fire Prevention Acts. Its programs and services include emergency response, training, public education sessions, fire investigation and fire inspection.
