Pools and Splash Pad

The Charlottetown Parks and Recreation Department operates both Simmons Sports Centre and Victoria Park outdoor pools, and offers public swimming. Fully qualified lifeguards are employed at the facility to ensure user safety.

The regular summer schedule will be in effect from Saturday, June 27 to Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Please note that Simmons Pool will close at 3:30p.m. on Saturday August 1 to allow staff time to set up for our Natal Day Pool Glow Party & BBQ.  The party will take place from 5:00 - 9:00p.m., with pool entry bracelets available beginning at 4:00p.m.

Please note that Adult Swim and Day Camp swimming lessons will share the pool on July 28, July 30, August 18, and August 20. On these dates, Adult Swim will have access to three lanes of the pool.

Season swim passes for Simmons Pool will be available beginning Monday, June 1 at 9:00am, offering a convenient way to enjoy the pool all summer long.

Individual Season Pass: $60.00 + HST
Family Season Pass (2 adults & 2 children): $120.00 + HST
$30.00 + HST for each additional child

Passes can be purchased online through Charlottetown Recreation Online Registration.

Birthday party bookings include 1 hour of swim time and 1.5 hours in the Multipurpose Room—perfect for summer celebrations! Birthday party fee is $90.00 + HST for up to 15 children.

Victoria Park Pool and Splash Pad

Victoria Park Pool and Splash Pad is a great spot to cool off this summer- open from June 27- August 31, 2026.

Open daily from 11:00am - 8:00pm

Admission is free.

Whether you're looking to swim some laps or splash around with the family, our pool is the perfect spot to beat the heat. For everyone’s
safety and comfort, we do limit the number of swimmers at a time.

Bell Aliant Centre Aquatics (indoor pool)


The Aquatics Facility at the Bell Aliant Centre features a 25-Metre, eight-lane recreational and competitive pool with 1-metre and 3-metre diving boards and a stadium seating capacity of 660. In addition, there is a leisure pool designed to accommodate a variety of programs and recreational swimming including aquafitness, aqua zumba, Aqua UFIT and more. The aquatics facility also offers a hot tub, waterslide, tarzan rope, and a parent observation seating area.

The aquatics facility is fully accessible. The change rooms offer wheelchair accessible dressing areas and showers. There is also have a water-wheelchair, wheelchair lift, and a set of portable stairs which are designed to eliminate strain caused by ladders. The family changing room has reserved changing spaces and lockers for individuals with a visual impairment. In addition to these features, our leisure pool has a ramp which begins at zero depth in order to accommodate users with limited mobility
