CALL FOR ARTISTS: 2026 CHARLOTTETOWN ARTS & CULTURE AWARD DESIGN
Deadline for submissions: 11:59 p.m. local time on November 10, 2025
The City of Charlottetown is seeking proposals for four (4) handcrafted awards to be presented during the 2026 Charlottetown Arts & Culture Awards Ceremony, which will be held in March 2026.
The award should be handcrafted, durable, and of a size that is suitable for presentation on stage and display in a home or office. The awards will be presented to members of the arts and culture community. As such, inventive submissions that diverge from traditional trophy designs are encouraged and can be produced in any artistic medium, not exclusively sculpture (i.e., proposals with fabric, felt, stained glass, paper, prints, or any other medium will be gladly considered as long as durability is considered).
The maximum total commission is $2,000 CDN (+HST, if applicable) for the design and creation of all four (4) awards, or $500 CDN for each award.
The awards must incorporate the following written information:
- “Charlottetown Arts & Culture Awards 2026”
- The name of the award (for example, “Emerging Artist,” “Artistic Excellence,” etc.)
- The recipient’s name (provided in February 2026)
