The public is invited to experience a unique celebration of art and nature with local artists!

Time: 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
Location: Victoria Park Cultural Pavilion, 36 Victoria Park Driveway South
The artists will be given three hours to complete art pieces based on the iconic Charlottetown landscape of Victoria Park. The public is invited to watch the artist's creations come to life through a variety of mediums, all with the shared goal of celebrating urban trees.

Anything Grows
Alongside the main event, the public is encouraged to take part in Anything Grows! This is a secondary competition open to all, regardless of age and skill level. Those competing in this category will be painting the same landscape as the featured artists in the main competition.
To enter Anything Grows, simply bring your art supplies, set-up in the park near the event tent and start creating! Advanced registration isn’t required, but if you would like to skip the line, you can pre-register at Charlottetown.ca/Roots. The prize for this category will be a $100 gift card.
Rooted in Art celebrates the vital role trees play in the urban environment. From the aesthetic beauty to the essential services trees provide – such as air purification, flood management, wind and noise buffering and stormwater management – this initiative seeks to deepen the community’s connection with nature and highlight the importance of the urban forest.
