Christmas Parade



Ho! Ho! Ho! Feel the magic of the season this Christmas and join Santa in the capital city on Saturday, November 29, 2025 for the Charlottetown Christmas Parade!

Beginning at 4:30 p.m., donations of non-perishable food items will be collected along the parade route in support of the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry Food Bank.

Parade Route and Sensory Friendly Viewing Zone

The parade will begin at the UPEI entrance on University Avenue and will travel south down University Avenue/Great George Street to Grafton Street, proceeds to Pownal street, and then to Fitzroy Street, ending at the corner of Rochford and Fitzroy Streets.

Sensory Friendly Viewing Zone

A designated sensory-friendly viewing zone is located on Fitzroy St. between Pownal and Rochford streets. In this area, there will be no sirens, flashing lights, or loud music, ensuring a more comfortable experience for those who prefer a quieter, low-sensory environment.

Road Closures and Interactive Alternative Route Map

Road Closures

The following streets will be closed to traffic from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29:
  • Raiders Road, between Burns Avenue and Enman Crescent

  • Enman Crescent between Raiders Road and University Avenue

  • University Avenue between Enman Crescent and Belvedere Avenue will also be closed from 2:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. (or the event conclusion).

The following streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. (or the event conclusion), on Saturday, Nov. 29 with no parking permitted from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.:

• University Avenue between Enman Crescent and Euston Street
• Great George Street between Euston Street and Grafton Street
• Grafton Street between Prince Street and Rochford Street
• Pownal Street between Richmond Street and Euston Street
• Fitzroy Street between Queen Street and Terry Fox Drive
• Terry Fox Drive between Brighton Road and Kent Street

Any unauthorized vehicle parked on the above streets after 3 p.m. risks being ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
