A brilliant display of lights and colours launched from a barge in Charlottetown Harbour in front of Victoria Park.

The City has once again partnered with the Autism Society of P.E.I. to lend noise-cancelling headphones to individuals with sensory sensitivities.

A limited number of noise-cancelling headphones will be available at no cost to attendees with sensory needs who want to enjoy the fireworks. Headphone distribution will begin at 9 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers from the Autism Society of P.E.I. will be on-site to assist with distribution of the headphones. To borrow a pair of headphones, a piece of identification must be provided which will be held until the headphones are returned. Look for the tent with the red and white stripes to get your pair!

Parking is available at the Provincial Government Buildings parking lot on Terry Fox Drive. Attendees are encouraged to carpool or use active transportation to get to the event site.

  • Residents are encouraged to use these services instead of driving, to avoid congestion and limited parking near Victoria Park and downtown.

  • Special Canada Day shuttle stop signs will be installed at each designated stop.

We acknowledge that the land upon which we gather is unceded Mi’kmaq territory. Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island) is covered by the historic Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We pay our respects to the Indigenous Mi'kmaq People who have occupied this Island for over 12,000 years; past, present and future.
