Cinema Under the Stars Returns to Victoria Park

The City of Charlottetown is pleased to announce the return of free, outdoor movie screenings to the Victoria Park Cultural Pavilion from Aug. 28-31.
"As the summer holidays gradually come to a close, Cinema Under the Stars presents a wonderful opportunity to gather and relish in one final evening with loved ones before the focus shifts to back-to-school engagements," said Mayor Philip Brown. "What better way to commemorate another remarkable Island summer than beneath the celestial canopy in the splendid Victoria Park."

Wednesday, Aug. 28 – Who’s Yer Father? (2023)
Get your friends together for a hilarious adventure set right here on Prince Edward Island! Watch as a bumbling PI and a feisty convenience store owner join forces to tackle a black-market lobster smuggling ring. Packed with laughs, twists, and eccentric characters, this film is a must-see for comedy lovers!
Thursday, Aug. 29 – Barbie (2023)
Follow Barbie as she leaves her perfect pink paradise to explore the real world, navigating new challenges and making unforgettable friends. Bursting with vibrant visuals, heartwarming moments, and loads of fun, this movie is a delightful journey for all Barbie fans. We encourage viewers to wear your best pink outfit to this showing!

Saturday, Aug. 31– IF (2024)
Twelve-year-old Bea moves into her grandmother’s apartment while her father undergoes heart surgery. All screenings will commence at 8:30 p.m. Blankets and folding chairs are encouraged, and a designated area for blankets will be marked to ensure an optimal viewing experience for everyone. Concessions will be available for purchase onsite, cash only.
