The City of Charlottetown has announced the entertainment lineup for its Capital City Canada Day celebrations, taking place at Victoria Park on July 1.

Canadian favourites Wintersleep and Ria Mae will co-headline the Canada Day Coastal Vibes Stage. Logan Richard will open for the main acts, with additional performances by Vishtèn, Diana Delirio and The Soosh. DJ Gufaah will perform between sets throughout the day.

“Canada Day is one of the most anticipated events of the year in Charlottetown,” said Councillor Terry Bernard, Chair of the City’s Economic, Tourism and Cultural Development Committee. “We’re excited to welcome an incredible lineup of local and regional talent to Victoria Park for a full day of celebration.”

Hailing from Halifax, JUNO award winning band Wintersleep has been shaping Canada’s indie rock landscape since 2001, earning acclaim for albums such as Welcome to the Night Sky, Hello Hum and The Great Detachment, and for immersive live performances defined by atmospheric soundscapes and introspective songwriting.

Ria Mae, a platinum-selling pop artist from Halifax, has built a national following with hits including “Clothes Off,” “Bend” and “Ooh Love,” earning multiple JUNO, SOCAN and ECMA nominations.

Capital City Canada Day is a free, family-friendly celebration that brings residents and visitors together each year for live entertainment, Family Fun Zone activities, food vendors, and more. Full programming details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Canada Day celebrations in Charlottetown will continue beyond July 1, with Discover Charlottetown presenting the inaugural Sundrift Sound DJ Festival from July 2 to 4. The multi-day festival will bring music to venues across the city, featuring rooftop sets, patio parties, and the Sunset Series along the waterfront. Highlights include Skratch Bastid at Lobster on the Wharf and Pineo & Loeb performing at Peake’s Quay. Additional waterfront performances and local DJs will be featured downtown. Ticket details and the complete schedule of events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Capital City Canada Day has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Celebration and Commemoration Program, Celebrate Canada Component.
